holy crap, i just studied the wiring diagrams. european vmaxes' headlight are indeed always on. wow. so allow me refine my original post by saying that all US models already cut the headlight when starting the bike. what is that "light switch" on the european bikes? i'm curious as to what...

at the surface of the description, it would seem to suggest the very thing, doesnt it. but it would also seem to be a perric benefit. at least here in Florida, no headlight is cause to be cited for an illegal motorbike. i'd think that most of the other states would have similar "no headlight"...

+1 with marks' if you like that deep small block sound. i run 14" duallies with 2.25" outlets. mark'll fab you any lengthed cans with any sized outlets. there are also the UFOs, which have a nasty snarl that a lot of the guys here like. sean morley (one2dmax) is in the middle of designing...

+1 on joe's wd40 advice. that's what did. although it worked, it only worked for a few weeks for me and i ended up deciding to clean and re-lube the switch pod's electomechanics, which may be the route you prefer. I wrote up a how-to for this. it's in the how-to section...
