Yeah IMO it does NOT come off easy. It can be a real job to get it on and adjusted just right, but I'm kinda anal about being perfect when it comes to things like having an equal gap between the headlight ring and the windshield.

I did make some turn signal extensions to drop them down so the windshield would fit. I do believe memphis shades' website has turn signal brackets that mount to the forks.

Yep, pretty sure thats it. IMO a windshield on a vmax takes away from its killer looks, but you can't beat the wind/bug protection.

I was always told mounting a wider tire than the factory spec was a no-no. The bike is designed to have a certain size/width tire on it and deviating from that compromises the handling. They do look cool though!!

I think Danny was running the same windshield as I am, the Memphis shades classic deuce. Its mounts are adjustable, so you can put it as high as you like!

That old of a 2 stroke bike most likely developed an air leak which caused it to lean out and seize. Make sure you watch out for contaminates that made their way down to the crank.....don't just do the top end and reassemble! Crank seals get hard and crack causing air leaks, as well as base...
