    At minimum I would split the rack, get the #4 carb off and apart for a soak in the carb cleaner. The Ultra-bath is best, ultrasonic with a new kit! Git-er done

    These carbs require a very thorough, complete disassembly and cleaning. I mean a carb clean soak minimum, ultrasonic bath being the best IMHO+ two cents.

    Go to one of the Bobber sites where, rods, hyme joints, pivots etc. are easily found. If you look at my bike pic, I have those same controls but with bigger diameter, hardened hardware. Also I reclocked pivot points to change the routing of the brake rod. I can send rod dims tomorrow eve.

    Welcome Jeff, how did you prep to run after the nap? You run compression checks wide open? Also, these carbs require a THOROUGH clean, Ultasonic etc. Most mystery running issues lie in carbs on the Max is why I'd go all in on a carb clean/rebuild.
