What did you do to your Vmax today? Part 2

Rejet my carbs - up to 152.5 from 150s. Plugs looked a bit white and some exhaust popping on decel. Test run then see where I need to set the needles. Some really nice weather here the last week! Dale

    Vboost magazine revival?

Mike, If you can pull this off it would be a good thing. With Gen 1s slowly dying off and Gen 2s not selling as well as Gen 1s did I hope the interest is there. (That's not a slam on Gen2s - great bike but price has inhibited sales for sure) Dale #2592

    Thunder 2015

Every time I've gone down to Thunder I've ridden through a monsoon either coming or going. I have to say I'm sorry I missed this year but sounds like I would have been soaked again! Hundreds of miles in rain is not fun. I now understand the guys who trailer down. Dale

Vmax running rough at steady throttle

All good info. Never would have thought about the carb levels being so much different on the side stand. Thanks guys. My cheapie temp gun doesn't seem to give me anything consistent. I guess you get what you pay for. Dale

    Rear wheel issue?

Stock swing arm? Do as Mike posted and also check the torque on the axle bolt. I find the factory recommended (90 ft lbs?) to high. I think you'll find the clicking coming from the final drive although it's tough to pin point it. There's an old venture bulletin about this issue. Search the forum...

    #3 Cylinder Issues (Video)

Your pilot circuit is plugged if the choke clears it up. If the shotgun didn't work you may have to tear the carbs down to clean them up. Dale

What did you do to your Vmax today? Part 2

Dennis, I've been having some hot start issues. I think my 8 yr old odyssey is going out. Charges but seems week when hot. I thought I would rule out the starter so took it apart. This piece was sitting right behind that elbowed section with the o ring at the thermostat. It was blocking approx...

What did you do to your Vmax today? Part 2

Was checking out my starter today as such drained coolant and removed the drain **** assembly - this is what was lodged in my thermostat housing. Had to be restricting flow although I've never had an overheat issue. Been there since 2002! Dale
