I repacked mine with ceramic packing then added the speakeasies. Deeper tone, all the raspy sound gone, volume down a little. Still loud but a nicer loud if that makes sense. A slightly smaller core would allow more packing and be the real solution. Dale

With stage 7 needles you will need smaller mains. Stock needles I ran a shim and 170 mains, 177.5 PAJ2. Ran pretty good 35-40 mpg. Stage 7 needles I'm at 155 mains, 3rd notch on needles, 170 PAJ2. I think I might be able to go to 152.5 mains. 750 ft elevation. Dale

Traumahawk's got it right. 2.5 increments. You'll have to play with it to get it right. That can be fun and frustrating at the same time. There are carb masters on this forum who can help alot!

You are correct....its been a bit since i did it. Great pics!

The "oring" pipe will come out with the oil pump. The black puck on the bottom of it is what keeps the pipe/oring in place via pressure from the oil pan when bolted up. The other oil pipes I just loosened to get the pump out. Dale
