I’m partial to the Red Sox.

    Just Picked Up

TRAC anti-dive. Boosts pressure during hard braking. Carried over into the early 1200s.

Should overflowing gas drain thru vent hose? (Picture) Please verify. Thanks.

I had a nice ‘90 recently that the guy sold because he couldn’t get the carbs right. He had the vents looped back into each other because fuel was flooding out of all four! Turns out the float needles had the wire on top that was interfering with their ability to completely seat. Don’t know...

    Nice, obscure Rush cut.

    WHAT ARE YOU LISTENING TO???

As a lifelong electrical engineer, one of my passions for a couple of decades has been acquiring, refurbishing and re-selling old audio gear that we so loved "back in the day". I think I have kept the cream of the crop. Mostly Marantz, Pioneer and Sansui. I'm also a bit of a music nut. I...

2006 For Sale In North Carolina

I’m guessing that since the OP listed his over five years ago, he no longer checks in here or even has that machine anymore. However, still a good idea to run your own ad. No harm no foul.

    Ugliest bike paint

Love the steampunk Goldwing above. The guy spent some time on that thing before fogging it. It is an exception to my rule below. But in general, I dislike amateurish matte black paint jobs. Especially those where the guy didn’t bother masking anything. He simply sprayed over every nut and bolt...

    Just Picked Up

Welcome to the world of four cylinder Goldwings. Decent looking 1100. Also, transporting with the kickstand down is not a good idea either.

    Wave rotors -front---EBC or Galfer?

Yep. One on each side replacing the side covers.

Does that mean we all ride enginecycles? ;)

    Wave rotors -front---EBC or Galfer?

Faux tank gauges were in 78 and 79 only. I change timing belts every two or three years. A commonly found belt is from Gates. I don't remember the number right off the top of my head. They are cheap enough and the carnage that can occur if one snaps is worth the insurance. That's my buddies 77...

    Vboost Open All The Time

Nothing sounds badder than an open Vboosted Max trolling down A1A Friday night at 10 miles an hour.

    Wave rotors -front---EBC or Galfer?

I am happily operating now in year five using a Chinese front brake master cylinder for my GL1000. No issues, but they did curiously supply a rebuild kit with the unit. I believe I have now lost it, but that might have been a bit conservative on their part.

    1st Gen V-Max Fully restored 1986 Vmax

Did you even bother to read the articles that you linked? Or are you just indiscriminately posting links to random Barrett Jackson articles just to be argumentative? I would be interested to see where any of the articles linked are relevant to this discussion - a discussion that I'm only...

    1st Gen V-Max Fully restored 1986 Vmax

I am pretty big on details. Small details. Cleanliness is a detail. Shiny bits where once there were not is a detail. Removal of superfluous stuff. (think rubber cam cover shields). The almost universal sloppy welding on the Gen1 frames has always bothered me. Never enough to smooth them out...

    1st Gen V-Max Fully restored 1986 Vmax

Must be a lot of fraud going on at Barrett Jackson and Pebble Beach. Few cars ever achieve a 1000 point grade - often due to non-original parts being substituted, yet they're sure sold as restored. Why are we even having this conversation? Oh yeah... Never mind. My bad.
