    They do exist!

Definitely a nicely turned piece. Enjoy that scooter.

    New gloves? ;)

To "electricians". Do I have to stop voltage to coils if "stop" switch is turned off?

A quick check of the schematic would give you the quickest answer. Usually the off switch breaks that connection. But given that you reference just about every motorcycle known to man around these parts, hard to give you a quick answer. Look it up.

Stupid bike seller on facebook. 86 GoldWing fuel injected.

Thank you. I wasn't going to say anything. And if I was going to bob a 1200, it certainly wouldn't be one of the fuel injected ones. That's asking for trouble.

    What is your "old-fartness" level?

I am throwing BS flag on that statement!

2 Post Car Lift - recommendation

I have been riding powerful motorcycles for almost five decades. I’ve done a lot of crazy things on them, had some serious close calls, and a couple of get offs. But! I guarantee you I would have a cracked skull and or be dead the first 30 seconds I set my arse on a unicycle.

Tell me about it. I worked with a mid-level executive a few years back from somewhere near Glasgow and his his accent was so pronounced I swear I could barely understand him. Not only was the accent there to contend with, but he spoke so fast it compounded the problem. I spent much of my time...

I laughed out loud at "legless". But whatever happened to good old-fashioned "drunk"?

I don’t know what “wellied” means, but it must be good if it is associated with beer. ============================================================== …and I would like to go on record here as apologizing to Parminio and the forum for allowing myself to be drawn into this. We have spent four...

I don't recall attacking anybody. Nor do I recall participating in the... argument. If I am guilty of attacking anyone, (if it could be called that), it would be the guy who continues to act like a mammalian protuberance. Now, there's an argument that I'm pretty sure I can win here - not that...

It's not even about the "argument" any more. It's about the theater surrounding it. In some strange way, I have to confess it's been almost entertaining. Too bad the discussion couldn't have been held directly - over beer and pizza. With a tape measure handy to see who REALLY has the...

    It’s arrived!

That’s a little more patina than I would care to preserve.

    It’s arrived!

Well, since Bikermidwife has shown a little latitude for his discussion, I'd like to expand on the Kawasaki topic if I may. I had a brand new zl900 I rode off the showroom floor in Florida in 85. Had the good fortune to acquire a very nice specimen 13ish years ago... which was a sweet...

Look what showed up at a shop I use

Looong journey ahead for that one. I have always been a GM guy as well. I once had a very sweet '69 Ram air Firebird the 400, 4 speed (M21), orange with black interior. Sold it for $1,200 and a pair of Cerwin Vega speakers.

    It’s arrived!

2000 apologies to the original poster. At least Planet blue Honda sort of fits with your original introductory message. Enjoy that VMAX

    It’s arrived!

By the way, the planet blue was only available in 75. My opinion, one of the nicest colors ever applied to an SOHC.

    It’s arrived!

It's a 75 (K5). The trailer is a lot more solid than it looks. I rewired it, new lights, new wheel bearings, new tongue jack, good tires, "OK" chains. My son took it to Sacramento and back a few months ago without a problem.

    It’s arrived!

You are relentless my friend. My current feeble energies are directed towards my CB750 K5. I am so close to getting that thing finished I can taste it. I think the whole Cafe theme has been overdone, but I have always liked format. Here's an image of the bike on the trailer as I was preparing...

Video of Sean, repairing Vmax crank.

I would still be very leery about beating a motor with one of those repaired cranks in it. I would be forever nursing it.
