    Got to ride my co-workers '05 about a year ago and loved it. Smooth,powerful and comfortable although I didn't take it on the freeway. As a second bike I would definately consider for taking longer trips. Mike

    You need one of those "Photo Shop/Paint" computer programs you could set up a pic of the faux tank and scoops and just change color combinations until you get the right combo for your taste. Mike

    Caliper dust shield

    Mine dissapeared off my rear caliper and I just replaced it.Yamaha is real proud of that little piece of plastic for about $14.Do you need it? Probably not.It just looked ****** up with out it to me. Mike

I've rebuilt both master and slave cylinders,replaced clutch friction plates,replaced both clutch push rods and the ball,tried various types of oil including Rotella T(both regular and synthetic) and Yamalube.Not to mention bleeding...

    Sure glad it wasn't worse and wish them a speedy recovery. I suspect low air pressure was the culprit with the added weight caused the side wall to get extremely hot and basically disintegrate. At highway speeds he may not have smelled the rubber and probably contributed the wallowing,mushy...
