    engine bearings

Who does know everything? To reiterate my previous answer, I don't know which is the thickest. IMO it doesn't matter which is the thickest bearing. What does matter is that whichever bearing you fit gives the correct clearance - 0.021 to 0.043 for the connecting rods and 0.020 to 0.044 for main...

    engine bearings

Short answer - don't know. Possibly a daft question but have you established that the clearances are out of spec? i.e. plasti-gauged? If they are have you measures the journals? IMO it isn't a case of slapping the thickest bearing in and hoping for the best.

Can vboost can still be operational without the controller??

I can think of two explanations: There is a little person hiding somewhere on the bike that is pulling on the cable (it could also be a well trained or genetically modified primate - wave a banana near the bike when starting and if you see a paw stretching out you will know) or.... You have a...

Can vboost can still be operational without the controller??

Suggest you have a read of pages 7-59 to 63 of the Service Manual which explains the function of the V Boost system. As far as I know, how the servo motor operates is determined by the controller therefore no controller = no servo motor operation. Do you have the OE ignition unit installed...

    LED conversion 1992 model

Two areas you need to consider: Indicators. If you want to retain the auto cancel function and OE indicator relay you will need to add ballast resistors to the indicators. Alternatively you can fit a solid state indicator relay but will loose the self cancelling function...

What's the reason for the wave phenomenon?

As Mr Medic says it is a phenomenon that some (but not all) bikes exhibit and there doesn't seem to be one cause. Have a read of the attached.

    Balance shaft delete?

What would be the benefit? The purpose of the balance shat IS to fully balance all rotating assemblies. Apart from the point Mr Maleko makes, all that would happen is that you would get more vibration from the engine. ALL engines are balanced, think (say) the Meriden Triumph twins but whist that...

    Balance shaft delete?

What would be the benefit? Apart from the point Mr Maleko makes, all that would happen is that you would get more vibration from the engine. ALL engines are balanced, think (say) the Meriden Triumph twins but whist that will balance the reciprocating masses, it doesn't cancel out unbalanced...

    Poor running at low revs

Agree that it sounds like pilot jets. My Step 1 would be to run some fuel system cleaner through. It won't do any harm and may well solve your problem. Step 2 would be to do the 'Shotgun'. Step 3 would be to go down the ultra sonic cleaning route.

Progressive Shocks Dilemma Need suspension Guru's!

If you are a novice rider with 'average' riding abilities (like most of us) then spending lots f money of high spec. shocks is, IMO, not money well spent. It is unlikely you will notice any significant difference when riding (bragging rights aren't as much though! :() As Mr Medic suggests...

    Carburetor cleaning help

If you are going to check float level best to do this while the cabs are off the bike; juts make sure they are on a level surface when doing it. Much less of a faff should you need to adjust the needle tab on the float.

    Show us your gauge setup

LO Mr Redd, Yes, it is an Rx2n. 'How difficult' will depend on ones level of skill and understanding. For me it wasn't too challenging once I had understood what was required and how to achieve it. It's many moons since I fitted it but as far as I remember I have the tach, speedo, indicators...

im a new member that needs a little help with my 92 vmax

I'm assuming that everything else is working as it should? If that is the case then the only fuse you need to check is for the ignition. However, from what you say I would check the side stand safety circuit or components first. If necessary you can work through the diagnostics in 7-14 to 16...

To clutch or not to clutch

Some sports bike have been fitted with quick shifters which temporarily cut the ignition when changing up and take the load off the gears. I wonder if they are the ones who don't use the clutch? Provided you get it right then there shouldn't be any issues. The problems can start to build up...

My chasis is bended. Any ideas?

Mild steel is pretty forgiving and can normally be persuaded to go back into it's original position. I'd be interested to see the tools you propose to use to get the frame back as it should be and ensure everything is aligned.
