    Delay in shutoff switch

You may want to check the diode pack connection, they say it can cause some weird things to happen.

    Delay in shutoff switch

If you want to see if you have the problem sorted out, hook about a 6 amp battery charger to the battery and just turn the key on. Don't start the bike and just let her sit for 5 min. or so then feel around by the ing. switch and the plug in. If things start to warm up, I would say you still...

    85 oil change, first step

The screw is a magnet. I catches all the metal shavings from normal use of the tranny and anything else that a magnet will pick up. You can usually get most of the metal off without removing the screw itself........

    85 oil change, first step

It's the bolt that has the screw in it. Make sure the filter you bought has a new O ring included. When you remove the filter canister take a pic so you will know how to put it back on. Be careful not to loose the flat washer on the canister bolt when you remove the old filter. I think Sean...

    Possible starter clutch problem?

+1 on what Steve said and did. I would have a stator gasket on the way just in case. I haven't had this problem yet and will probably tack weld mine also if I ever do.

Coil over plug mod issues with rain?

Make sure you aren't screwing the metal tips on the plug. If you use them the cops are not connected solidly to the plug ends.

1998 yamaha vmax Throttle Position Sensor

Check all 4 carbs to make sure the choke plungers are all the way in. Something may have loosened on the choke linkage, not allowing the plunger to be pushed all the way to it's stop. Check all carbs to insure the caps are on the sync ports, front left has a hose that may have slit or popped off...

    Cool air airbox

When researching just a bit one site had this comment which seems to make sense. "The cold air intake increases the amount of “cold” oxygen that is made available to your engine system. The intake is usually installed on a location where colder air can flow into the engine system—usually on...
