Just found out I'm totaly ignorant

    Thanks JF, very touching, and thanks to all the members comments of persuasions. I will send Buster Hymen a request to disregard my request to delete my profile, publicly in this thread. He sent me an explanation regarding the words he used and this is a partial quote from Buster's PM;

Just found out I'm totaly ignorant

Just found out I'm totally ignorant. After defending myself from an accusation in the VMax parts for sale forum from another member, there were several comments made. I asked one of the moderators to please lock the thread, which he did. Then Buster Hymen deletes the whole thread and for reason...

    Crazy Friday

Can you believe this same problem just got me 45 min. ago. If this post had not been fresh on my mind, I would have been chasing wires with a volt meter.:eusa_dance:

Bike lunges forward in 1st and notchy in gears?

I would not be surprised if your clutch starts slipping. T6 full synthetic is some very slippery oil. Don't ask me how I know:whistlin:

Bike lunges forward in 1st and notchy in gears?

Things are still spinning when you grab a hand full of clutch and immediately shift to 1st. Try counting to 3 then shift to first, also take Traumahawks suggestion an switch to Rotella 15W40, it still contains a lot of zinc needed for gears.

I covered half of the y cover and it runs !

If you plan to change/verify main jets, you will have to remove them by disconnecting from intake manifolds. The main jets are only accessible from the bottom of the carbs by removing the brass plugs from bottom of fuel bowls shown in pic I have attached. There are still a couple of things to do...

I covered half of the y cover and it runs !

Covering one side of the Y does not restrict the flow to one side, it just restricts the flow to all 4 carbs making the bike run richer on all 4 carbs. Like Steve mentioned you altered the A/F mixture to the rich side. Stock main jets are 152.5 and usually the stock jets tend to make the max run...

    The Joke thread!

There's an old sea story about a ship's Captain Who inspected his sailors, and afterward told The first mate that all his men smelled bad from body odor... The Captain suggested perhaps it would Help if the sailors would change underwear Occasionally. The first mate responded, "Aye, aye sir...

tappet adjustment, new coils, cranckecase preasure release, silicon water pipes

I bought one of those cheap Chinese hose sets, but have not installed them. They look good but I doubt they are as good as OEM. I still have the original hoses on my old 85 and they are still holding after nearly 30 yrs. If you want coils, I have some listed in the Buy and...

    One cylinder "popping"

More than likely it is a synch problem. If the butterfly is closed, no fuel is going to the cylinder and the spark is igniting oil residue. If you pull that spark plug it will probably look fouled from oil residue. With out the right amount of fuel to the cylinder it can not burn clean. If you...

need your help with an oil weep

I had that problem until I used black RTV sealant on the seal before installing it. That seal fits loosely and it does not seal tight when pressed into the cases, I actually pressed mine in with my thumbs. So, in my case the seal was leaking from around the seal to case. Inspect the rod for...
