Should I change my main Jet?

I believe DJ directions call for drilling the slides...not the end of the world if they are as long as the diaphragms aren't compromised. Have you sync'd the carbs? Also it'd be interesting to see what clip the Stg 1 needle is on.

Should I change my main Jet?

Keihin does not have a #134 so that doesn't work. Dynojet does although a #134 would be very small. Would PAJ2 bumped from #170 to #190 compensate? Don't know. Plug looks ok, mileage about average...maybe a little low. Stg 1 Dynojet set-up, sounds like. Be interesting to see what a #170...

Should I change my main Jet?

Those may very well be Kehin #134 mains drilled out...although individuals who drill out jets tend to file off the original size numbering to eliminate confusion such as we are now having. I'd go with Mr Midnight's suggestion...compare with another Max & check your mileage. BTW, what size are...

    Carb synch

Did you set up your Carbtune with restrictors in each vacuum hose? Here is a procedure I wrote up a few years ago, it appears you are already following this but may be something that will help you.

    Carb synch

#2 is the master carb that the other 3 carbs get sync'd to...that doesn't mean it stays at a constant setting. Adjustments to the other carbs will affect the vacuum at the #2 carb also.

Sorry to hear about the knee Bill, and the Ritis doesn't help a bit! Sure, I'll give them a test anytime you are ready.

    carb overflow tubes

Steve, it's probably my poor way of explaining things but there is only one hose connection on each float cover and that hose goes to the bracket which attaches to the airbox. I don't think it's designed to handle overflow because, as you mentioned, the difference in elevation between the float...

    Carb synch

Each change will affect all carbs. Sync'n requires patients.

    carb overflow tubes

I believe the float chamber overflow tubes and the float chamber vent tubes are the same tubes?

    carb overflow tubes

There are brackets that screw to the airbox - hoses attach to them.

    carb overflow tubes

    PM sent.

    carb overflow tubes

They go from the top of the float chamber elbows to brackets on either side of the airbox 'Y' piece. And they are vent tubes not overflow tubes. They help pull fuel odors back into the engine, among other things.

Seems like someone started a list on the badge numbers but found the badge numbers didn't correlate with the serial numbers and they may have stopped? Something like that.

Gotcha covered Kyle...#0542 was already listed, #1367 is now listed, #1930 is not listed. Have the customer send his info in and we'll get him on. Thanks!

Bill, if you want to send me the carbs I'd be glad to put them on the test engine, might quickly verify or eliminate CDI.

    Do 1985 carbs fit 97 Vmax 1200?..

Paul mistyped the pilot fuel jet size, it should read #37.5
