I put the last parts on the engine( except or the carbs), now to test for compression and oil.

I have used star tron for years. I t works very well and does not gel in extreme cold like stabil does. I even toss in a little sea foam for added cleaning.

Dave laf I had the same problem with the '07 I had. There is another drain plug, it's not mentioned in the service section of the manual. It is located paralel to the shift shaft and takes a 17mm . torque is 27 ft.lbs. with a new copper washer.

I think you all have offered a lot of very solid thinking . the only thing I can offer is, I read somewhere that companys with a fleet of vehicles use nitrogen because it does not expand and contract with changes in the temperature making maintenance easier and tire life longer.

Made the mistake of removing the cam gears from the shaft. i have 2 factory manuals and they really do not make it clear which holes they bolt to, ooooh s$%t. after trying different positions it looks like no difference. Any suggestions would help a lot. thanks
