    synthetic Oil

To add; a number of months ago F_M gave us some oil based homework study to do. The homework was fairly difficult to absorb, but very informative. If I remember right (in my view) there were a couple of things it skirted around, one was mineral oil and synthetic oils difference regarding...

How many straps do you use?

I’ve carried my VMax around allot more than it’s been driven. Looks like I tie it in with a combination of most of the above, the system has evolved over time, but Trigger does not move in the van even with hard braking. Front wheel chock (brilliant item for in the van) and front forks both...

2 Post Car Lift - recommendation

I could understand that if it were a tandem you went out on yourself. 😂 But there is something to be said on that subject as I pulled my first bird on a pedal bike 🚴 Anyway tried the unicycle many times and just could not get there, gave up, and that is not like me.

That’s good you got a bit of info from the website. Also I imagine you know, but I’ll say anyway, that if you use your own bolts/screwed rod that there are different grades, with different tensile strengths. And there are also many different grades of carbon steel plate, with different tensile...

redlinestands.com You might have come across them already, but they give some advice on lifts and associated base’s, I never read their whole website but they get a bit of terminology wrong when the say tensile, they will mean compression. Maybe help you a bit. Scary stuff dude 😦

    Weight savings

I don’t think it’s coincidence that just a few days ago I was speaking to an advisor on govt funding for eco projects 😂 A massive untapped resource that Guinness is, I’m going to suggest it at our next meet-up for a laugh. I’m on day 7 of the 🥬 diet, nearly starving to death, and feel the...

    Weight savings

I’ve had many people after meetings saying to me they had no fu-@&£g idea what I was saying lol. I’ve tried speaking slowly with a posh accent, but that apparently makes it worse! Forgetting to put your foot down, then you were officially ‘pished’ lol. I had a mate that done that and the police...

    Weight savings

Thats too plain a word, we like to jazz things up a bit. I’ve not heard drunk for about 30 years here 😂 Pished is also common. Although we talk basically the English language, we have many words and phrases that you only hear in Scotland, Glasgow also has it’s own accent that is even...

Have not heard of them, but i’ll need to give it some serious thought, even by my lowly standards, the place is absolutely howling 😂

I recognise them all and could add to that list 😂

    Weight savings

Very witty even for a ‘canny’ Scot. 😂 But actually yes, although I don’t want to give my creative ideas away for free. 💴 Every energy cell is a prisoner. 💰

    Weight savings

I see you are well versed in the subject 😂 🍺 🍻 🍷 . And ‘T name but a few’ maybe gives away a bit of your heritage. Anyway talking about weight savings as per heading; I’m on day 6 of a cabbage 🥬 soup diet (no alcohol either) and lost half a stone so far, I’m beginning to see the tips of my...

    Weight savings

Just a short story, nothing more. Many years ago I argued (on the email system) constantly for months with a French guy that was supplying the company I was working for with engineering equipment. I was pushing to have him removed. Later on that year he came to visit and we got on brilliant...

    Weight savings

For what it is worth I think that statement is absolutely correct. There is a very good chance if this was discussed in a pub with pizza and good strong German beer flowing, everyone would come out happily wellied and looking forward to the next meeting. 🥾 🍻

    Looking For A New GPS

I’ve already mentioned I have the garmin motorcycle zumo. After reading the last few posts i thought i’ll start this up and just see if the battery still has a charge after a year and half of not being switched on at all. What a unit this is; it started up, has a very low battery but amazing it...

Halfords sell spray paints suitable for plastics, it works well. But i had a mate that done allot if spray painting and used a style of building up incompatible surfaces using what is known as a haze coats.
