What did you do to your Vmax today? Part 2

Wish you were there..? Very witty for the 3rd Jan, never thought of that Lol. I've never seen a tribute band for PF, but get where your coming from as I knew this guitarist years ago who could play all this stuff (and Led Zep) as good if not better than the originals, his wife swore for years...

I've never seen them live, always just missed a concert for many different reasons. Wish I had :(

Probably too far gone with the old LSD stuff to understand anything at that time.

I prefer the lighter beers, but drank (imperial) gallons of Dortmunder over the years 😂.

Stumped. What's going on with these carbs? Videos included

Yes, there are many variables to consider, its a static equation, but there are assumptions such as gravity that changes over each short distance on the planet, temp, and product. For instance the temp of the medium under question changes density, as does sea level. If its dynamic equation you...

Uncle Fred & family say hi for new year. Right to left uncle Fred, then uncle Fred when he was younger, aunty Margaret.

Oops, gave you a run down on my own background. I’m half cut mate (its Friday and new years eve) and my wife says it could be yourself you are talking about. Apologies if this is the case. Do not forget most people from Scotland do not originate from here, we are a molten pot of vikings...

Aha, the general internet has it wrong my friend. 😂 Burke’s Peerage done a search and book on my name and got it right, you can buy the book. It started in Lyon (French male) and Spain (female). They went (or fled for better words way back about 150 years ago), and bought up land in Ireland...

Stumped. What's going on with these carbs? Videos included

I love the old stuff and have some great goodies myself from many years ago, such as my socket set when I was nine years old. In many cases the digital age has not surpassed the old analogue tooling, it just looks nicer, and reads easier for some people, but I love using the old stuff. I liked...

Stumped. What's going on with these carbs? Videos included

I use a drill bit all the time for that purpose, but you can very lightly scratch the surfaces of the bores and butterflies when doing it that way, I’ve also hit small rags on the drilled pilot holes that sometimes stick out slightly in the bore, then had to make sure they are clear. But always...

Thanks allot. Was nearly committed after 4 weeks on these carbs. I like to think I help out at times though, and bikers keep their sanity a bit longer. After some additional thought and scouring through the site, there are a couple of things extra I would do on these carbs during set-up the...

There you are Mr Porter, this time last year I was driving my van on the Kingston Bridge, over the top of the River Clyde. North going South and going home from Inverness (home of Nessie). Second photo is in the middle of the River Clyde. Ignore the time stamp as I never use it. Also, I have...

    Who has riding videos?

I've not been out on the bike for over a year (too busy with my cars, van and other bike last year). I do not have any videos from the bike camera (also used the card on another unit as I have cameras on all my vehicles). It's something I do not do is copy over my ride-outs onto the computer...

    Who has riding videos?

I use one all the time and found the best place was attached to the handlebars, just to the side of the screen, with nothing distracting from clear view. But beware if it has sound recording, all you hear is engine and wind no matter where you put it.

    Wheel and frame straightening

I agree with that. In industry repaired alloys like that are liquid penetrant tested and X-Rayed as a minimum, to ensure their are no cracks or voids that you cannot see. Not to say that the repair guy does not do this as it's old technology from way back in the stone age days. Also aluminium...

    Tires to old?

I've already agreed with patate657's suggestion that the discussion was over. I'll take notes over the next six years, then we shall see haha. 😒

    Tires to old?

Yes that sounds good. Nitrogen suits the extension I may get for longevity of my expensive tyres, plus my driving style on bikes and cars that wants correct pressures within a couple of psi almost instantly as I'm on the motorway within 1 mile of my house and opening up on a tight sweeping bend...
