Any slip on you install will NOT require re jetting your carbs. I really like Delkevic slip ons…….they come in a variety of canister sizes and styles. Plenty of YouTube videos displaying sound and style.

I had an ‘86 that a thrashed pretty heavily….some drag racing and constant power shifting on the street….never an issue…of course I knew how to shift….if ya don’t then you’ve got other issues unrelated to your transmission. lol
What years specifically had the 2nd gear issue? I’m all too familiar with “internet” issues with vehicles….ya know the ones where 1% of the vehicles had an issue but because of the internet it seems like 70%. lol

68 here and just bought a ‘06 with 25,000 on it….has it been ridden recently? That’ll usually give ya some idea about fuel tanks and other systems.
37,000 wouldn’t scare me a bit.
Oh yeah…..welcome to the machine.
I took it to a buddys scooter shop to have him change the tire and balance it….we removed the schrader valve to deflate the tire before we took the old one off.
It was just loose and leaking.
rode it yesterday...it was 70 degrees here for a day....took off and the bike felt super heavy in the steering and I'm like WTF...get back from going just down the road and check front tire pressure it was under 10lbs. yikes
before everyone is like "check before ya ride" I had just had a tire...
