Incredibal bike guy, never seen a max like it. Knowing there are 4 carbs on the max, how do you make due with three velocity stacks and what do you do when it rains ?

It was very easy.

I saw a couple of pic from the India showing yesterday. One was a fairly good shot of the rear tire. The size of the rear tire was 140/75/15. This is close to our oem size. Close enough that I would consider it. What do you guys think.

I would think that the directional tire they are taking off should be a pretty big clue.

Actually, this Avon is marked that way. One arrow points one way if mounted in the front and an arrow pointing the other way if mounted in the rear. But again, the tire he took off the rim was directional too, so he should have known to put the new tire on the same way.

Two answers to your questions. It was a Yamaha shop so they should have known the speedo drive went on the left side. Also a bigger clue is the old tire they took off was directional, so they should have known by that too.

The Harley is a comparable size bike at 480 pounds. This is not a scooter tire and I'm sure they are not going to make the sidewall a sidewall that would be dangerous. We will have to wait and see. I am optimistic but apparently others aren't.

Just read that Harley is coming out with a new 500 and 750. Will be debuting in India tomorrow (17th) it will also be available in the US and early specs says it has a Michelin/ Harley 15" Scorcher ll rear tire. The Scorcher series are radials. Harley tire web sight does not have this size...

This is what I did. I followed the arrows on the tire, and yes, the speedo cable will swing to the wrong side. I had the cable guides off the bike at the time, so I missed that clue. Anyway, took it back to the dealer and raised hell. They fixed it after apologizing all over the place. They...
