No Carbtune reading on #2 carb

a quick exhaust temp check would clear that one up very quickly

No Carbtune reading on #2 carb

Hopefully this hasn't happened to you, a very remote possibility of a broken camshaft http://www.vmaxforum.net/showthread.php?t=4636

    Clipon handlebars

Headlights have LEDs alright, they're not that powerful though - driving light is SMLED, spotlight is HID The rearsets are an old design, not sure who made them originally (Steve Taylor maybe?) I picked them up off another Vmaxer that was doing a complete overhaul...

    Clipon handlebars

I love my clipons! I've dropped the front & back suspension, reshaped the seat and with a 10 degree drop on the bars, everything is lower Rearsets are a must though - without them I'd be knocking my elbows off my knees

    Delay in shutoff switch

What else has been wired into the connector? I would follow that wire - whatever it is is sending power back into your ignition circuit (bypassing your emergency stop switch until it runs low on power, like a capacitor)

    Cool Weather Starting Issues

If my Max won't start then it's almost always the battery but if I'm having trouble keeping it turning over while riding (cutting out at the lights etc.) then it's probably carb icing - I even stuck a camera in there to prove it one day http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IBjZHl7HscA [lucky it...

    Beer!

Home brews, local brews, craft brews - in that order But there's so much choice on tap now that I don't have to fall back on Bud/Miller/Heinekin anymore My favorite is a red ale aged in whiskey barrels - mmm I also try some brewing myself from malt extract, then last week I got my hands on a...

Installing V-Boost where there wasn't one...

There were a few other visible ways to tell if you have a fully restricted model - exhaust outlet size - no reflectors on the rad covers - bigger reflector behind the seat - reserve switch under the starter button - speedo only goes to ~185kph - RPM red line is at 8,500rpm

    Top speed reached

My speedo didn't read past 190kph but the rpm kept rising - still pulling at an estimated 250kph+

Installing V-Boost where there wasn't one...

If your Vmax is Japanese spec then putting the Vboost system back in is only the first step - you also will need to derestrict the carbs, speedo & TCI Here is what I started with http://www.vmaxforum.net/showthread.php?t=27333

    Shocks on ebay

I bought a similar cheap set from eBay - RFY shocks (I couldn't afford a proper set) I thought I'd ride them until they blew but they're still on the bike (+$5 ohlin sticker) Only drawbacks: They are pre-loaded to the MAX and are next to useless when you ride two up - other than that I'm...
