Update!! It appears that there is finally a light at the end of the tunnel that isn't a train!!!!! I think that my issues with the bike etc. will be taken care of soon which makes me happy. Reasonableness appears to be winning out here and both parties will be grumpy as neither got everything...

PCW will only build a 1570 with flatslides as the stock carbs are way too small. That engine would have cost over $7.5k alone. Of course it is an older Vmax so the price is a bit low, but not ridiculous.
