If the impeller is in anti-corrosion inhibitor, it won't go bad. The one off my '85 is perfect, not a single spot of corrosion or cavitation. If the water pump is weeping out of the hole under the bearing, then give it a rebuild. It's just bearings and seals.

Um, check if you have 12v on one side of the coil. Then, run a wire from earth and then just act like a human set of points, touching and releasing the earth wire to the coil. You should get big fat sparks.

Have you put the ball bearing back in between the pushrod and clutch?

I can live with a delay, for a bit, if the person responds to my e-mails. Otherwise it's an e-bay claim. Reason - "seller won't respond to communications" I guess you got a good vibe off him. Otherwise you would have got your money back! A complete set of spare carbs is an awesome thing to have!

I'm gonna say it's out of balance. If it was out of round you would probably notice before you hit 60. 60 is also about the right speed for unbalanced wheels to start to become obvious. Hope they treated you well!

The clutch lever can't move further away from the bars... do you mean that the clutch feels hard instantly? ie. no free play? If it is rock hard, there is a blocked passage in the m/cyl. 5 minute fix.
