Thunder on the Strip was last week. On Saturday night the weather was perfect.
I found a Gen 1 there with a pretty unique paint job. No sign of the owner as there were thousands of bikes there. Anyone recognize this machine?
I have the Amplink from Rowe Electronics. It is similar but not meant to replace the existing fuse box.
It is not installed yet as I have not wanted to take the bike down in the Summer. I will put it on next month sometime when the weather crashes.
Please post some photos of your rear turn signal solution.
I am looking at these

They are built for a Yamaha R1. They look great on that bike. I spoke to the owner and he has never done a VMAX specific solution. I may have to just buy...
How do they do with the exhaust? I would think cruising down the highway the air flow would carry it away. Any city driving and the angle would send hot exhaust onto the bags.
i broke down and bought one based on your recommendation. It was almost $300. However I will say I am impressed. It is very, very solid. With the Pit Bull in the back the mighty Max is upright and super well supported for maintenance.
Where did you mount the PDM? There is not a lot of choices.
I am thinking about making a bracket so I can get in the space between the mud guard and rear fender.
Jerry,
Which Garmin did you install? I just got a Zumo. Not installed yet. I am also adding a Amplink

It is not here yet.
Cool story. That is better than mine.
If I won the lottery, I would have gotten the FJR and put 25,000 miles on it before getting home. Seattle, LA, Key West, Boston and many sites in between.
Holy cow. On a six year old bike? The story on mine was that the owner was out of his league. He took the VMAX back to the dealership. So yes it was used but only for the shortest amount of time. Yours is crazy.
You can barely ride home and only put on 35 miles never mind go six years...
