    Can we agree that the biggest weight savings comes from replacing the stock exhaust. Next would be replacing the stock battery. Are those the 2 biggest single changes that you can do to save you weight ?? Wheels ??

    Dyno numbers

    Installed the Hindle system along with the air box mod and ecu flash. 186 HP / 119 FT LBS of torque !! Sound about right ? Stock was 170 HP / 112 FT LBS of torque.

    Not really a drag only bike but a streetbike that gets to go to the dragstrip occasionally. It would be nice to have a 9 sec streetbike. With the additional power from the basic mods and the weight savings, that should get me a little closer !

    I guess I wasn't specific enough! I Just swapped out the stock system for a Hindle full exhaust, didn't think about weighing them while I did the work, just thought somebody would already have that info handy ??

    How much weight do you loose when you get rid of the stock unit and go after market full system ? I went with a complete Hindle system.

    Stock exhaust has the pipe collars at the head to center the pipe I believe, I have a Hindle 4-2-1 and I didn't get any with the new exhaust so am I suppose to use the stock one's or should've I got new ones supplied with the pipe ? Stock one's look like they been tack welded in place on the pipe.

    Yes, stock Vmax engine, removed the V-boost and some Dyna jet carb tuning. Kosman light weight wheels with a 18" rear wheel and slick and wheelie bars. The Eliminator was Turbo'd and actually had the best terminal speed but no traction then spun that bearing.... Would've been a little more...

    If your referring to the old article featuring The Vmax/ZL900/GSXR1100 and what it took to get it into the 9's ? There was alot more done then just adding a Kerker Pipe, Kosman Racing added a few more parts along with a set of wheelie bars and carb mods ....

    The clutch mod was completely necessary, at 265 lbs suited it slipped through most of 3rd and 4th gear....

    NEW personal bests. Only lowered (DD clutch mod) otherwise completely stock. No Pipe, no air mods, no ECU flashing. Stock-stock-stock, mods on the way now !!!

    2nd trip to the track after aborting the 1st, clutching slipping in 3rd and 4th gear, added the Clutch mod then went back. This is the first pass off the trailer. Sacramento Raceway Wed night street car/bike night. BTW I'm 250lbs dry add leathers/helmet/boots probably in the 265 range ?? RT...
