I installed the dual Yamaha horn kit that someone on here recommended. It uses the dual electric horns like I had on my Warrior. Minimal wiring work and it make a world of difference in tone and volume. My bike actually sounds more like a car now. Very happy with them.

Thanks, yeah I’ve got the Corbin relocation kit but I wanted to mount a more comfortable peg on it instead of the small aluminum factory peg. I didn’t know if the factory rider pegs could be mounted in the rear position.

Has anyone mounted the factory front pegs in the rear position? I’d like to swap pegs to something more comfy for my wife but don’t want to lose the sporty look.

I’m kind of leaning towards the Corbin set since it’s steel, good to know it has a nice fit and finish. Thanks

I have thought about removing the factory mufflers from my 2020 and installing some small tips instead. I know that this won’t really affect the sound or performance but I didn’t know if anyone else had also done this. If so, what is the diameter of the pipe coming out of the cat?

Yessir, I’ve been sticking with Yamalube and yamacool. If Yamaha will warranty the motor for 20 years and 100k for using them I’m on board.

Is the gap between the front tire and the fender still decent with the Avon? Some of the guys that had the rs warrior swapped to a taller tire and had the issue of rocks getting jammed in between the tire and fender. I even remember one that blew the tire. Does it look like that could be an issue?

I just did a coolant change on my 2020 per the manual and I wasn’t able to get back in the amount I took out. First let me say that the overflow tank and system were full when I drained everything. I drained 3qt 18oz and when I filled the system and overflow tank I could only put 3qt 12oz back...

Gotcha, that’s close to factory top speed. I’ll just have to take it easy in the winter if I’m using it. 😉

I have this tail bag, it fits perfectly on the OEM rack and has room for my gloves and a set of uniforms for work. I put my liner for my jacket in it and some tools for small jobs. It’s the perfect size to tuck behind the short backrest but it also expands up if you need it...

I would assume that any accessory produced specifically for the VMAX by Yamaha would at least be able to handle the factory top speed.
