Coolant on floor after cold spell

It's a fairly common thing. The o-ring on the drain valve doesn't like the cold and might quit when it warms up. You can rotate the valve to see if that clears it up too. Next time you change that o-ring, lube it good with Vaseline or petro-jelly to keep it from hardening up.

Fuel Red light and Oil Red light comes on, what could be the problem?

The metal-looking HID ballast is sitting on it. Best to remove the air box for access.

Fuel Red light and Oil Red light comes on, what could be the problem?

Take a look at and test your diode assembly as well. It's a small, black block with pigtail wiring that sits on top of the ignition unit. Inside, there's a diode for the fuel pump system and a resistor for the oil sending switch/oil lamp. There's a another diode for the neutral switch/light and...

    vacuum pressure switch

You can try applying/jumping power directly to the round Vboost plug and test the motor. If that test passes, it's the servo or harness issue.

Preventing the dreaded second gear problem

The newer shift segment won't make 2nd gear failure any less likely. The new design just prevents the pins from dropping and thus not allowing shifting gears...but depends on which pins fall out.

    Fitting 12v battery gauge/Monitor

You can use a brown wire going to the back of the gauge cluster. That would then be protected by the signal fuse. You can also tie closer to the main fuse box.

Oil Leak from Carb Manifold at Head

Hi John, those two bolts are shorter and do penetrate an oil pocket. The manual says to use sealant. I use an ultra black sealant to keep the area dry. Mark

What did you do to your Vmax today? Part 2

Now that my son's summer activities are winding down, time to put the blinders on and get the max put together. Before and after pictures of transmission inspection and repair. 2nd gear failed. Thanks to @one2dmax! He never fails! Mark

    Wiring problem

My guess is that they ran a separate wire that went directly to battery for better charging.

Stock header pipes. Nots sure what the mufflers are.

    Temperature gauge

Check the small black wire/ground that connects to the top of your coolant manifold just rearward of the radiator cap. If that's loose/dirty, needle will go crazy.
