    2nd Generation Fork Seal Driver

What size fork seal driver is used to do 2009+ VMax fork seals? Mine are not leaking but I figured it would be good to have the fork seal driver handy eventually. Are there any other special tools needed to make the job easier? I have chased down every possible angle or word phrase that I...

    Heavy front end?

Every bike has its quirks. Heavy front end? Try maneuvering a litre bike around a parking lot. I have an '09 VMax and the only concern I have is the limited fuel range. Other than that, it's a missile with handlebars.

    Canadian version same as others?

I get it. Kinda like those youtube videos where you see a Harley chopper beat a liter bike in a street race. Obviously just a noobie rider on the liter bike. The colder Canadian air should be an advantage.

    Tuneboy

Looking for input about a company called Tuneboy out of Australia offering quick shifters, tuner with cruise control.Like to know if anyone had issues with the product or company. My 2009 is Canadian and curious if anyone here in Canada (or other countries) has installed these products with success.

    Canadian version same as others?

I just bought a 2009 Canadian VMax and I would like to know if there are differences between the Canadian version and the versions offered for sale in other countries. i.e. electrical, emissions or any other information about differences.

Fuel Pump 1999 Vmax 1200 Wanted

My fuel pump went on me while travelling in Mexico. While looking on ebay, I noticed that a lot of other used fuel pumps from other manufacturers looked similar. I found one from a Honda (can't remember the exact model) and ordered it for about $30 shipped to me. It has been working fine for...

    As bad as it gets!

On my second day driving through Mexico, I had an accident on my motorcycle. (No green card) Does that mean my being white has something to do with it? Sometimes **** happens that we don't want to happen. Am I saying he should be set free without any consequences? No. But leave the racist...

    Can't put into neutral

I had experimented with different engine oils while travelling through Mexico. Even tried some coloured engine oils that looked cool seen through my see-through side covers. I found that a lot of the oils I used caused trouble engaging neutral and when I switched back to Yamalube, it worked...

    replacement carb diaphragms

While travelling in Mexico, I had some really crazy running issues with my VMax. Every day was a different problem and was very hard to track the problems such as starting, backfiring and rough running. My good friend and mechanic,70-year old Nicho in Mexico City sprayed some water on the...

    Electrical Problem.

I have seen people who are not mechanically inclined; find out there problem was a loose battery cable or they had the shut off switch on or were using their choke backwards and once they find out, feel a bit stupid so don't want to respond. When I bought my bike for $500, the guy told me he...

    merry-go-round pricing OEM parts

In my own experience, sometimes you need good service and advice and there are definitely experienced and helpful people here in the forums who can assist in your project with used parts, new parts, accessories, mechanical services through their channels and then sometimes, you just need a cheap...

    Electrical Problem.

Been a mechanic almost all of my adult life and this happens a lot. If a vehicle has been in the shop and then has problems shortly after; then look for the most obvious things right away in the area that the last person was working; like a loose battery cable, connection, carb intake boot or...

    UFO Vmax Jon Cornell

Looks great and is worth whatever someone who is interested will pay. Doesn't look like your average VMax. I saw a 69 Charger go for $115,000 at an auction to a guy who thought it was worth it because it had defective rims that had been recalled but the owner had not brought it back to get the...

Vmax 12 Vs Harley davidson fat something or other.

Check out some other wheels and you will probably find some others that would fit without too much problem. I have a FZR1000 18" rear wheel and FZR1000 17" front wheel to match on my 1990 FJ1200. Replaces the 16" stock rear and looks much better.

I couldn't say. I live up north near Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, on the border with Sault Sainte. Marie, Michigan and The Old Hide House is somewhere near Guelph.

Check out that new Fat Bob and the new Fat Boy on dealer road test days, both are awesome rides with lots of balls.

Vmax 12 Vs Harley davidson fat something or other.

I have had a chance to ride all of the latest Harleys and in my opinion, the Fat Bob with the 114 c.i. engine is an absolute blast in the vision of VMax. It handles very well and has a lot of usable power. USD forks and monoshock suspension make a huge difference. You can throw this bike...
