    Gen2 Gas Tank Removal

The installation is two bolts on each side. It literally does not get any easier. It comes with bolts and spacers. I had to jury rig mine a little since I have the backrest and rack attachment but really, it is so easy I got my 11 year old son to help install them. The bags are from Hepco &...

1ST GEN VMAX PARTS SWINGARM WITH WIDE WHEEL & USD FORKS, FUEL PUMP

Here is an 18" Mustang wheel with a 250/40-18 Avon Venom 2 tire set up to fit 1st Generation Vmax. It has an extended 5.5" swingarm with all parts to make it work. I bought this hoping to install it on my old Vmax but sold it. It has a custom wheel hub, Progressive shocks, plate holder, brake...

    Gen2 Gas Tank Removal

It is the Yamaha optional windshield with the bump for the shift light. I have a larger one coming that I saw here on the site. It covers more of the handlebars and is a little taller. I will try it and see how it fits and looks.

    Gen2 Gas Tank Removal

Yes, 2 mounting points and they have a rubber pad that rests against the rear fender. The bags are 24 litre each. I had 42 litre Hepco & Becker bags on my 1st Gen and they are top of the line. Absolutely waterproof and seconds to remove. They also give your body some needed safety space in...

    Gen2 Gas Tank Removal

Well, first test ride with the bigger tank, intergrated taillight, heated grips, engine side guards and Hepco & Becker saddlebags. I think they look great.

    Gen2 Gas Tank Removal

Is the 150 miles per tank driving until you are totally empty or is that when you hit the reserve?

    Gurued Gear

168 is crazy. I had thought my bike was stock so I had brought it to 135 but thought it had a limiter. Interested if the install lowered the 1/4 mile time and HP and torque specs at different levels of mods. Everything seems stock on mine. I didn't ride one without the Gurued Gear ECU so...

    Gurued Gear

Has anyone done the top speed? What is it? Has anyone dynoed it after various modifications? I've been 150mph previously on a different bike, and its hard to find places straight enough to do it where I live.

    Gurued Gear

Took the faux cover off my 2009 to do maintenance for the 1st time and noticed that it has a Gurued Gear ecu/reflash. I otherwise have a stock bike. What benefits does this have over a stock ecu?

    Just a cool poster

I know what you mean. I think FJs, FJs and VMaxxes are highly underrated. The FJ series can drive high speed all day without a worry and can be modded fairly easily.

    Fuel tank reserve left calculation

After Sturgis 2013, I was in Wyoming headed for Mexico on my Gen 1. I checked the map and it said there was a town where I could fill up about where I fill up normally. Well, I get there and there is no town, no nothing. Fully loaded and never have gone more than 190 kms on a tank previously...
