Gen2 OEM hard saddle bags - sold

Just because you found a website that lists them doesn't mean they actually have them. Read the fine print. But I appreciate you missing the point.

Gen2 OEM hard saddle bags - sold

I have the OEM bags, they look great and fit the bike perfectly BUT being a long distance rider, they don't hold much. The shape is all wrong to be useful for touring. Having said that, if people want to sell and people are willing to pay, then that will happen. Compare it to the price of...

Gen2 OEM hard saddle bags - sold

Seems like the price is high, what is a fair price?

Yamaha not carrying Vmax after 2020

Sounds like I am only one of a few happy and content with their 2nd Generation. The only real issue I have with mine is the lack of fuel capacity and lack of storage capabilities. As for the OEM bags, besides looking great, they are almost totally useless. Cannot fit anything useful in them...

    Gaffer brake lines

I had brake/clutch Galfers in front and rear of my 1st Gen. Perfect fit and everything needed is included. No issues at all. I used the 2 line setup.

    2nd Generation Fork Seal Driver

Luckily, found a 52mm seal driver from Yamaha in a sealed bag on ebay.

    Bike Lift

Most bike mechanics work on more than just bikes; such as quads, side by sides, snowmachines, golf carts, generators, snowblowers, lawnmowers and so on.

    Bike Lift

I have a cheap one that will do 1,000 lbs. (Harbor Freight) and an excellent MC625R from K&L Supply/Redline that will lift 1,750 lbs. 40 inches off the ground which is almost double the smaller one. The more money you pay, the more options that are possible. I find they both have their uses...

    Vrod

But not you thou Yes, XR1200 numbers speak for themselves. 80hp, 70ft.lbs., 0-60 in 4 seconds and 12.42 second quarter mile @ 106.41mph. Exactly the same numbers as any 1st or 2nd Gen VMax. Maybe that man didn't know how to use it.

    Vrod

Drove every Harley(including all models of VRod) at the dealer when I apprenticed there and the only comparable bike to my 1st Gen VMax was the new style FatBob. It handled great and steered/braked without issues. As far as my 2nd Gen VMax; Harley will never top it, end of story. It is light...

Long Distance Rides - What to watch out for??

I have been down as far as Guatemala from Canada and back in a few different ways and didn't have many problems. Had 3 of 4 diaphragms went at the same time. Caused a bunch of weird running issues (insert old school fix) and a fuel pump problem. Replaced by a Honda version for $30. Otherwise...

How much would they cost? (Approximately, barring any defense industry-like price increases, of course.)

    2nd Generation Fork Seal Driver

Did you need any other tools? What did you use for a seal driver? Is it a 52 mm?

    Tuneboy

No, I haven't been able to. I have sent messages and they don't answer anything very punctually. With the Covid-19 going around the world, it is probably going to take a while to get it. When the clutch lever is pulled in, the Cruise Control should shut off to avoid accidents in a panic stop...

    2nd Generation Fork Seal Driver

Seriously ... nobody has done forks on a 2nd Gen yet?

    Tuneboy

I bought the Tuneboy and waiting for it to arrive. I am not sure when I will be able to get it going but will advise on what/if I receive what they say they are selling and upload the instructions, etc.
