Might want to email Sean Morley [email protected] and ask him as he deals with Ventures quite a bit and may know.

    Hello Everyone

A lot of mods on that bike. Looks like the old UFO V-gas carb system and UFO exhaust.
  3. Parminio

    I am completely stumped.

    That's exactly where it was.

    Carb balancing starting point.

And as Firemedic says, that's going to be very, very difficult. The reason is that with V-boost in the full open position, you have in effect an open plenum chamber for both carburetors, so one carburetor will be effecting the other. The physical image: Imagine two people, each with their own...

    I am completely stumped.

Well, as mysteriously as it started it stopped. I'm beginning to wonder if I just overfilled the tank and when I parked it the pressure pushed it out the vent tube.

    Kudos on the Montrose reference.

    Slip on exhaust.

Slip-ons don't really change anything. When you increase the size of your primary pipes is where you wind up having to re-jet your carbs more times than not. Normally you can just bolt them on and go.

    I am completely stumped.

To make matters even more weird: put the carbs back on. Bolted everything down, put it all back together. Ran it around the block. Now no fuel is leaking, but it's running like ****. Yes, I synced. It idles perfectly, but I get on it and it has these little moments of hesitation in it...

    I am completely stumped.

Never mind. Found it. Disconnected it at the tank and blew through the hose. It's pretty tough, but it's not plugged.

    I am completely stumped.

Where is that? The only hole I am aware of is the hole in the area where you fill it up that drains any gas you might spill to the ground.

    I am completely stumped.

Just did a lot of stuff to my 2007 Vmax and it's running better than ever. I've only been going on short trips around the house to seat the new brakes in before I do anything else. The other day, I suddenly had a very strong smell of gas. I figured it might have been because I was running some...

What did you do to your Vmax today? Part 2

I've never been a huge fan of green, but that looks really, really good. I finally did a little work on my Vmax to get it back into shape. New tires, fluids all the way around, new end bar mirrors I've wanted since forever, rebuilt the cluctch slave and put on the 6 piston Sumitomo calipers by...

Drag racing questions for Gen 1 vmax

A stock Vmax can do that with relative ease. You've got something not set up properly.

Drag racing questions for Gen 1 vmax

It's not any different for the Gen 2. Even the very high end sport bikes only require 92 octane fuel. Much higher than that and you begin to hurt your performance. Your video should show you everything you need to know. Most of that vapor is UNBURNED fuel. That is what coats down the internal...

    Got her running but.....

That. You in all likelihood have slave issues as well, it's just that the master is the one you can see so you think it's the only culprit.

To rebuild or not to rebuild

The problem with that is that the bike isn't level on the center stand. It's leaning forward with the back tire off the ground, so it's not really an accurate way to go about doing it. The best way to do that test is with someone sitting on it on the ground holding it level while you look at the...

They are very, very old bikes. Nobody will really work on them anymore because of that, you'll have to do it all yourself. I couldn't even get anybody to put tires on mine. I had to buy a jack and take the rims off and take them in to Cycle Gear and have them mount and balance them for me. It...

NEED TIPS ON proper placement of faux tank logos

This is completely incorrect: First, the logo is rotated to the right and it shouldn't be. It should be straight up and down. Second, it's too far towards the rear of the bike. If you looked at the picture on your wall, you would see that the fork is straight up and down and that the left...

Drag racing questions for Gen 1 vmax

Frankly, you're doing just about everything you can to make your bike slower. Do NOT use racing fuel. That is high octane fuel intended for very high compression engines, which you do not have. Your performance will be worse, not better. Use regular or plus unleaded, ethanol free fuel. Shift...

    2005 Resurrection

This is correct. If you had air in the lines, the moment you put it into gear the bike would stall because it would engage instantly. That does absolutely nothing. If you don't pull it, clean it and rebuild it you're wasting your time. I just finished doing mine. There's nothing to it really...
