    What is your "old-fartness" level?

Roads are excellent for motorcycle riding in the Smokies and surrounding areas of N.C. and Tennessee. Home to Tail Of The Dragon too , but very crowded on the weekends. Many more great curvy roads in the surrounding area as well.

    What is your "old-fartness" level?

I'm 75 and keep an eye on my heart and sugar levels. Diabetic Type II, Cancer survivor , Covid survivor , Motorcycle survivor ( so far ) , and U.S. Army Combat Engineer survivor Veteran. I have dodged so many bullets in my lifetime , I know I'm on borrowed time. I appreciate every day I wake...

Look what showed up at a shop I use

Kraft relocated about 5 years ago and sold their mass property in Norcross , GA. with huge refrigerated spaces to a local beer, soft drink & wine distributor , who promptly sectioned off half of the massive building and leased the other half to a movie studio out of California. I sold them...

We have " Green Space ", close to me. No need for a coffin. Keep you chilled until day of burial , wrap you in your favorite linens and drop you in the ground. Cheaper and better for the worms...

Look what showed up at a shop I use

This shop looks very familar to the Vette Shop in Richmond, VA. , on Hull Street , especially the Nomad in the corner. It was owned by Bert Baer , who I contracted to bring my '56 Vette back to life.

    It’s arrived!

Since blown Eliminator motors are difficult , ( for me anyway ) to replace or repair , some have resorted to the ZRX motor. A very good runner...

You're joking right ? Compared to a Jag motor ? R-E-L-I-A-B-I-L-I-T-Y . Cost of parts and labor to rebuild. Unlimited Performance possibilities.

The thing about this Jag was the Chevy drivetrain and the pros that did the conversion. Pros through and through.

Look what showed up at a shop I use

I came DAMN close to buying a Silver with Black rag top about 2 years ago with a LS1 Chevy motor and 4 speed transmission , converted by professionals , with paperwork . If the salesman had actually waited on me and moved it out of the tightly packed warehouse , I would have bought it that day...

    V-Max for two up?

If you can afford and keep 4 bikes , I would suggest adding the VMax to the equation. Short touring is fine. Gas tank limits your cruising distance without stopping , but when 2 up , my lady or I have to stop and pee every hundred miles or less anyway.

    Original brochures

Great. I'm looking for an article / feature about a guy who street raced his VMax in New York , I believe. That article got me interested in the VMax motorcycle , so it must have been in the late nineties or so. It was a black , highly modded out VMax. I can almost remember his name but there...

Seat thread. What are you sittin' on?

I had a upholstery pro build one for me with newer , reshaped wider foam and a huge leather piece I found in his shop. It wasn't cheap by any means , but I can run on it all day.

    2002 V-Max Cafe

I like your thoughts on a cafe racer , but can you or will you ride it full time or do you have something a bit more subdued in the stable ? I found my '98 quite a few years ago and love the new handling , brakes and look...
