wow.. my first bike was a Kawasaki 440 LTD belt drive as well.. small world.... had tons of bikes since then, but you always remember your "first"... lol
folks.. put a few ounces of Seafoam in the tank yesterday and let idle for 15-20 minutes. Rode it like a bat out of He-- for a few miles, and it now runs like new... cleared up the carb problem like a champ!! Thanks everyone and I'll start using this magic product on all my bike and car...
Hi all.. newbie mechanic here. Please inform me on how to properly use Seafoam on my bike and provide step by step procedures on how to "shotgun" and "peashoot", both of which are new terms in my bike maintenance vocabulary... thanks!!!!!:confused2:
Have had no issues with my baby, but it has set up for a couple of months and not rode. I cranked it up yesterday and noted that I had to keep the choke slightly on or it would die. When I revved the throttle it wanted to die, but when I rode it at mid rpms there was no issues. Only when I...
friggen sweet!! How did you hard mount it to your fender? I bought another LED/license plate for mine, but may consider switching over to this and place my tag on my axle area.
dunno dude... I bought a 1994 in pristine "museum type" condition with only 8K on it for only 3K. I haven't had a single problem with it. The paint was flawless and carbs synched beautifully. It also had new Dunlops on it... there are great deals on running bike out there if you look...
Joe Rocket Villian Helmet... great helmet and very comfortable. Easy to put on and have a blue shield.. air vents work great down here in Florida. Can also easily wear earbuds so I can jam on some crazy tunes with my Ipod while screaming down the road... :punk:
I integrated my switch so I can choose to flip it when I want the extra power at 3K or flip it back to go back to 6K... the whole unit was less than 30 dollars if I recall and installation was a snap...... love mine ...
I own a 94 and prefer to keep the paintjob clean and simple..if you want to be somewhat "different", consider using Fatmax accessories like a belly pan, fairing, etc... I have mine posted in my profile... Terry
I changed out my sissybar for the oem grab bar last night had to cut the wires on the turn signals in order to remove. When I wired them back, the signals didn't work (front or back) and now my shifter light doesn't work and my rpm guage only slowly registers and doesn't seem to get above 3K...
Thanks for all the great replies.. I to don't like the sissybar on mine and will be replacing it this weekend with the stock grab obar... I love my Fat Max bellypan and fairing and all that great work is ruined with the sissy bar sticking up in the back like a sore thumb.
