Thinking of Gen 2 in the near future and holding on to my 94. Do you prefer the Gen 2 over the Gen 1?

My Vmax had the same issue when I purchased it. Both fork seals were weeping. Used the sealmate tool, but unfortunately, it didn’t address the issue. Ended up replacing both seals with a complete set of K&L’s. Replacing them isn’t that bad, just more time consuming if anything.

I like the ideal of radials on a Vmax, but it seems to me, the cost associated with the wider rim turns some owners off. With that said, when did Yamaha begin to utilize radials on their motorcycles?
