This Harbor Freight puller work for starter clutch??

Wanted to see if anyone tried and had bad luck. I got to handle a HF one and it is flimsy but had been used a lot. I ordered a gearwrench unit and good 12.9 blots via Amazon cheap. Got 10 bolts 70mm long and only $30 for everything shipped.

    Double clutch spring

Makes my left hand strong.... Lol. I like knowing that I don't get ANY slip just nice firm shifts and engagement. You get used to it.

This Harbor Freight puller work for starter clutch??

I was thinking of buying this ($15) and then buying some better grade 8 8x1.25 bolts and possibly using some extra metal plates/heavy washers to stiffen things up to avoid bolt flex. Comes with grade 5 cheapie hardware. But the other parts seem worth $15.

    "The Elephant In The Room"

My favorite thing about my max and the full race UFO exhaust is that when I pull up next to any HD.... They stare.... Look at rear of bike... And if they make eye contact with me the look straight down. They don't Rev their pipes at all. They usually just turn off and slowly go down the road...

    Odd issue with gen 1

So if bolts are loose (assume they should be loc tited) I could just tighten back up? I'll need a gasket.... but will I lose much oil doing this on side stand or center stand? Any way to manually check condition of actual starter clutch by hand? Hate to spend $150 on a part when the issue is...

1998 very well maintained... 21k miles original starter. Always started perfect until last few rides. When restarting after ridden a while.... Press starter button and sounds like marbles in a tin can. Let it sit and then fires right up and runs fine. Happened 2-3 times while riding last 3 days...

Thought it was plastic it's so light... But it metal... Heat gun and oven gloves got most. Then more heat and rubber Mallett and all better

OK... First boo boo on the vmax. Parking in garage and kickstand was on half rug and half concrete floor.... Slip... Fell on me (left side) I protected it BUT my right elbow dinged the plastic gas tank cover. Paint fine, just round Dent (looks like a shot put fell on it lol). What's the best...

ISO Grips on a 1st gen???

I cleaned off gorilla glue and gorilla glue Duct Tape... Applied one layer of electrical tape... More gorilla glue and works good. Inwould have preferred all black but I got these brand new in box for $30 locally. Works great for dampening vibration which is what I wanted.

ISO Grips on a 1st gen???

Yep... Had to get a plastic throttle tube insert for the throttle side and lutch side is too big (must be for 1in bars). I'm going to try electrical tape over what Inhave on the bars and then glue. If that doesn't work I'm going back to what I had on there. Really wanted the ISO-Grips for the...

ISO Grips on a 1st gen???

Bought some 6241 Kuryakan ISO Grips (7/8 in). Did not come with throttle tube so I bought one and put in. Throttle side done and good. Clutch side grip is too big. I used some Gorilla Glue black Duct Tape on bar. Used Gorilla Glue superglue but did not as here to tape apparently. I'm going to...
