Actually you should be glad you're on a soft-ish tyre. harder one might not have held so well. Didn't do as much as I would have expected. And no, two corners would have just scrubbed them up real good. Nothing to worry bout. Should have seen mine after a solo ride out and about before...

I demand pics of the tyres. I've seen what that kind of riding does to my mates tyre on thier sport bikes. Let seethe Damage a 280kg muscle monster does lol.

Could be a double unit. Take a look at any modern sportbike. Analog tach with a LCD speedo screen on the tach face or nearby. I wouldn't mind a set up just like the Kawaski ZX10R

lol there is a road that starts just north of here, takes 6 hours to ride it without stops and it's almost all corners. Motorcycle heaven.

Every time you bring it down there's a chance of damage. Front tyre might not be pointed straight, could land hard and blow the fork seals. And of course there is always going to far and flipping the bike over.
