I had some chrome tow hooks that were peeling an had them powdered chrome. They aren't as bright as chrome but they haven't discolored or faded in almost 3yrs.

A 1300cc conversion I don't think is a slight engine mod. I don't think it's worth it, unless you need to rebuild the motor. Then it depends on your budget. Biggest bang for the buck is a proper exhaust an jet kit. Which you'll need anyways.

I have Billet Bike Bits Forward Controls an love them. To me they just look/flow better. I just wish there was a heel an toe shifter available.

I think that's what will end up being your problem from what been said. Even the best mechanic/carb builder can't get it right 100% of the time. No fault to their ability or experience, sometimes things happen. That's why I always fix everything myself. Unless I can't find the time or it needs...
