Gen 1 diff on a Gen 2 swingarm

What we can do is rifle drill from the large side part way as the shaft steps down to gen1 size and we don't want it weak there

Gen 1 diff on a Gen 2 swingarm

Speaking of shafts, I made it today. I still have more machining to do and thru hardening. Don't forget because it's Gen 1 to Gen 2 it requires a hybrid shaft and as such the shank diameter has been made to Gen 2 specs 28mm which is somewhat bigger than Gen 1 , the only real difference here is...

Gen 1 diff on a Gen 2 swingarm

Why? I can't really go into much detail as it's not mine to discuss but other than to say it changes the ratio obviously It may blow itself to bits? But on the other hand it might be a solution... I'm sure we will know for sure in due course :moped:

Gen 1 diff on a Gen 2 swingarm

A project that is almost complete. A bit off messing around but it's sorted out now and really not that difficult having sorted out all the measurements now.Need to just screwcut the thread on the high tensile axle. The diff shown is only an old unit and won't be the diff used . We just need...

    New project

Well this has been awhile. So busy at work etc but finally got things back on track. The rear wheel is now sorted and so is the front, so I should start assembling stuff very soon. The weight of the rear wheel is exactly the same weight as stock, I haven't checked the front.

    Gen I bore pitch

I measured a case I have, the web is 70mm and the bores 76mm. I did also notice the exhaust ports seem to be central so quick measurement says the same.If the gen 2 exhausts are central then someone only needs to measure the centres across the pipes to get you a size

    Motorcycle rider hits falling debris...

Ouch, that's gotta hurt. I guess we are all wise watching this but it seems he rode into rather than avoiding it

    Rims

That will fit a piece of cake, you can make the hub to suit the position of the wheel right where you want it.

    Sumitomo 6 pot

There's a bunch of them on ebay. The most recent set I bought was a couple of weeks ago a pair for $100 usd. I have been using them for several years now on my two bikes and soon to be a third, never had any problems at and have fitted at least another 3 sets for other people. Early fronts and...

    RH scoop and more

Need a rh scoop for my project, paint condition does not matter at all but it needs to be clear of dents , gouges etc. Also need a plastic cover which I can best describe as the black plastic visible cover that is above and forward of the left hand scoop. There will be other bits needed as I...

    New project

Was going to powdercoat the frame but seeing as I need to spray some plastic bits anyway I decided to just spray it myself instead.

Isle of man/ Ride or die

The event is on right now.Already there has been two deaths that I'm aware of. The circuit is about 40 miles around and statistically there is more than five bodies for every mile.
