Anyone have any input or thoughts on running 110 octane through the max? I usually use it for winter storage. We have a 110 pump just down the road from my house.

    Spark Plugs

You know... I've been riding on the street since I was 15 years old. I started out on a 1976 Suzuki GT380 "2-stroke" that I still have, then a $300 1979 KZ1000st, then a Yamaha Seca II, then a new '96 FZR600 "almost killed myself from a tank-slapping high-side at around 85MPH", then a brand...

Lol. I've owned it for 2 years now. And about 1400 miles. Life, kids, and work limit my saddle time. And all this d%?# rain here lately!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

2006 Vmax with little issues and looking for and suggestions...

Hey guys, getting a Carbtune tool to sync the carbs. Is there a "how to" here somewhere on synchronizing the carbs??? thanks! Also I was shopping around and also found the Digi tune tool and I noticed that it had 3/16 adaptors for the Vmax. Anyone use the Carbtune and find that they needed...

2006 Vmax with little issues and looking for and suggestions...

Hey guys, here is a little update. After inspecting the Delkevic exhaust, I did a little inspection... One of the cans' baffles, as I may have mentioned before, was loose. After closer inspection, the baffle would slide right through the can without any resistance. The other Can's baffle is...

2006 Vmax with little issues and looking for and suggestions...

I did notice by installing the stock exhaust back on the bike, it did behave better in start-up than with the slip-ons. Reinstalling the stock exhaust is definitely a two person job!!! A real pain in the butt!!! I boogered the exhaust gasket material on ONE! pipe and I have a leak.... Ugh...

Thanks for the reply Matt. I noticed that when I performed the stock exhaust modification, the big seemed a bit rich. Then when I installed the slip-on a little more richness... "The stock muffler is heavy cavernous and supply's a lot of back pressure". After removing the baffles even richer...

Ok guys, took a nice 25 mile ride yesterday and the bike ran well with no issues. Sea foam must have helped. I noticed that the right exhaust is louder than the left (Delkevic slip-ons)... Thought it may be all in my head, but it is louder. I did notice that the slip-on itself has some small...

Thanks guys for the great info. I think I am going to invest in the carbtune for the winter tinkering. We are getting close to the end of riding season here in WV, so I have a nice little winter project on my hands. Figure I am going to try the pea shooter shotgun procedure and also synchronize...

I assume the pea shooter method will remedy the cough? Anyone have an idea on why one exhaust sounds louder. Scavenging???

Bike carbs have not been touched. Completely stock. We have dealerships in the area, but I wouldn't let them touch my bicycle... Just afraid of when you start messing with things it opens up a can of worms... Lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hey guys, been a while since I have posted. To busy and trying to ride when I can. I have 2006 with roughly 4200 miles on it. I modified the stock exhaust and I really liked the sound. Bike has always run pretty good. Modifications so far are just the modified stock exhaust and a K&N...
