+1 on sync. I usually find if the idle screw is set to high the rpms hang. Try and back off it a little and check.

did you check fuses under the seat by the battery or just under the faux tank

Try the kill switch flip it on and off a few times see if it helps.

The miles are accurate. The bike has been kept in a airplane hanger I assume all its life. Im also worried about hidden problems from sitting tires gaskets seals etc. I don't mind cleaning painting polishing etc. I assume I can use for bargaining I just don't want to pay to much just because...

I'm looking at a 1989 with 3400 miles no mechanical issues but cosmetically has the oxidation under all the clear coat and on the engine it has a backrest,cowl and cobra exhaust. What do you guy's think is a fair price? Thanks

Yes I no seafoam will make it smoke. That's what I meant it wasn't worth waiting for it to do its job and seeing smoke on start up so I choose to pull and fix

Its probably inevitable it was for me I ran two tanks through it and got tired of it smoking on start up so to me it was worth spending the morning doing it so I new what I was working with.

If that didn't work for you your going to have to pull the carbs so you can get to the jet block that's probably where your blockage is in the pilot jet and emulsion tube.

+1 on pilot circuit. I had the same symptoms tried all the same things. The smoking turned out to be the seafoam it will clear up after a couple clean tanks but I ended up pulling the carbs and cleaning and blowing out the jet block and every other hole I could find and when you think it's good...

Did it come with restrictors to that install into each vacuum line? also did you tie them all together and balance them off #2 cylinder before you started?

Yes they are to tight I had the same problem with mine.

I color fill on guns all the time. I use nail Polish to fill it all in then use non acetone nail polish remover on a flat rag and gently wipe across it flipping rag so not to distribute the removed paint back on till it's all clean then buff. Works great lasts a long time and cheap.

I saw it looked like the washer was missing and the axle looks to far in. The bike was like that when I got it and I only looked at it because my rear brakes hum when braking the pads look good then I saw that. Anyone have one don't really want to pay 10 dollars in shipping for a 2 dollar washer
