ive really enjoyed time on my bike especially during the group rides through the twisties in the texas hill country. but going home often we will hit the highway. Going down I10 at 85 mph isnt a great place to be on the vmax.. what options are out there for windscreens for our bikes? 2002 model
yeah pull them back off and redo them again. i always use carb cleaner and compressed air and make sure all the ports flow just like the other carbs. i like to compare them all while im cleaning them. if 3 carbs do this and the 1 carb doesnt then you found your problem.
i wonder though, i cant get my bike to idle at 1200 rpm hot even with the idle adjustment fully backed off . maybe i need to add some turns to the mixture screw or do a proper sync? i only ever bench sync carbs. i usually get away with it..
3 or 4 turns is probably to many. and usually when you have issues that change or go away with mixture screw adjustments the problem is to big or small of a pilot jet. my bike has size 40 pilots at 2.5 turns out , what are you running?
i rebuilt my forks not to long ago and they were nasty. one fork leg had metal in the oil and sure enough the bushings were toast. i installed this kit myself. all seems well so far
main thing im looking for is ride quality. id even be happy if the bike became soft. so long as i can ride it and not get punished for it. so the 444's are the way to go?
I had my 2002 set up by a professional for track use last time i was at the track. the ride is very harsh on the street. going down the road the bike bounces around so much it blurs my vision. i want to install an aftermarket suspension. i wanted to start out by replacing the rear shocks. does...
i was finally able to join a group ride after a month or two. yes, the first thing i want to do for the bike is suspension improvements. the rear shocks feel awful. going down the road the rear end of the bike is jarring to the point my eyes blur. the front sucks too but it seems that its not...
yep, the plugs on my carbs are different. im going to use a piece of rubber hose to hold them up. i know i should do it right but, yah know, whatever..if i cant figure out a way to make what i have work ill order stuff. and yes i know what you mean as far as prying. i only use my hands to pull...
