Good deal if bike checks out, as was said above very few known issues with the 2nd gen. I would jump on it if I didn't already have one. I sold my 07 to get my 16. You will not regret it. They just took the 1st gen and fixed the issues and just added more vmax to it.

Same here, 03 Goldwing for road trips, Vmax 2016 for picking on the young punks on crotch rockets. Old guy got to have some fun.

I suffer the heat in Arkansas to a point, but generally don’t ride much in January or February. Rest of the year I ride. Low temp cut off for me is 38 to 40. January and February I use for projects and maintenance.

I have a good friend that has the tools and know how to build one for me. I have seen 2 types of pipes, one with a connection pipe between the rear 2 pipes and one without. Is there any advantage to having this crossover pipe or is the extra work not worth it??? Thanks for the help.

I have some of the brackets off mine from when I installed my back rest on my 2016, if you sell yours let me know. Don't know what a fair price would be but not going to use them anymore.

What is the true limit set on the factory computer on a 2016? I ask because I was able to do some speed runs yesterday and at a indicated 145 on speedometer it seemed bike went soft. Was pulling like a train up till that point. Going to do x pipe and flash shortly.
