Great Googly MooglY! Are the stator screws loctited in at the factory? Even with an impact driver I needed vice grips to get them the rest of the way out. Looks like I need some screws!

I have the JR Sonic perf and it's great during the summer, during the winter..brrr. I got mine used of Ebay for $100. Love the jacket. I've been on the lookout for another non perf for winter/fall riding.

When I get to step B, I find the switched 12V wire, (any will do right?) It says leave the bike running, then turn on lights. When the bike is on the lights are on. Anyway, the voltage when engine is on, lights on is .75, when I turn the highbeams on it jumps to .85 I have already checked...

Ok, I followed the chart and got to the step where I check the red wire out of the RR to the battery, I get a reading of -0.35, I checked the wiring through the fuse block, kill switch and they are all clean, I used contact cleaner on all of them as well. Is the reading of -0.35 less than 0.2?

Ok, it's not the stator, I got it nice and hot and it settles at 0.5ohms for each leg. Guess I'm on to the RR, that's the one behind the left side passenger peg right?

I'm not sure if anybody has mentioned it yet, but, you need washers between all 3.

So the bike died on me this morning after riding home from work. The battery is a new(1month) old Odyssey. I charged it while I was sleeping, fired it up and am getting no charge voltage at the battery when running, high and low RPM. I checked resistance at the stator plug, at least I think it...

Mr Pickles, what part number was this? Also where did you buy it?

I went with the Odyssey. Got it for $120 at my local Summit.

Re: Battery?? I just put an Odyssey PC680 in my 86, it was $120 at Summit, I live right up the street from one of their stores.

I put the drift partially through one side, then hammered against the side of the drift. This cocked the spacer and pushed one of the bearings out.

Idle circuit clogged, shotgunned the carb and cleared the problem. NaughtyG, Ya, the fuel tank has some rust in the bottom, when I drained the carb there was some rust present. I put in a new glass fuel filter last year. I guess I get to coat the tank. Blargh!

I ran it with a plug in the boot , and another in the cylinder, it was sparking pretty good against my hand and the cylinder wall.

LF:16.9 LR:17.4 RF:17.2 RR:16.6 problem cylinder No variations when wiggling. I'll look at the carbs next.
