I'm trying to get the valves adjusted. When following the manual, on #1 cylinder I have the flywheel mark ligned up, the small hole on the camshaft lined up, but the lobes are pointed down. I'm pretty sure this is wrong.

Jeff,
Thanks. I notice there are 2 gaskets the one you mentioned and another
26H-12428-00-00 gasket housing cover 2
Does the whole piece come up and I only need the lower gasket, or should I get both?
I' doing some work and have access to the oil lines. I found the part #'s for those. What is the part number for that oblong piece in between the cylinders?
Here's a pic.
Took one fork leg apart. Finished removing the crap above the valve covers and removed the valve cover bolts. Found 2 stripped screws holding my stator cover on. :damn angry:

Tonker has gone out of business. They left me in the middle of an RMA for some chaps so I'm thankfull I used AMEX. I'm disputing the charges as I type.

It's too cold to ride so I'm starting all the projects I've been putting off, here's the list:
New fork seals, adding Racetech springs and emulators
Adjusting valves and replacing the leaky valve cover gaskets
Replacing the clutch slave cylinder with one from Ebay, the old one was...
