Some of the best looking and sounding pipes I've seen on a Busa were from Akropovic. If they can create a style that goes with the new Max and not just some round/oval cans they would definately be at the top of my list.

While quite a bit more expensive you could get one of these. http://www.motogadget.com/en/welcome.html I am considering the full sized speedo (chrono classic) due to going with 18" wheels and radials. All the other features would be a welcome addition as well.

I got Marks pipes and went with a 12 1/2" can length. Basically I was shooting for a length that matched where the factory pipes ended as that seemed to be the most pleasing to my eye. I also like the beveled inlet and outlet ramps instead of just being flat. When I'm done with my current batch...

I suppose It's a good thing the mechanic didn't get smooshed by your bike but I think he deserves a knot on his head regardless. Tell me you at least attempted to get the shop to pay for new bars?

Dont mean to get too far off track here but I always liked the looks of the '87-'88 SuperMagnas. I've never owned one but a friend did and it ran ok. Nothing like a V65 or VMax but it had its own "look".

I had to lower my shifter pedal for the exact same reason...after lazy upshifting a couple times I couldn't take it anymore. For me at least the seating position is too scrunched up and I couldn't easily upshift without really yanking up on it.

I was thinking about installing some sort of sportbike tail section with integrated turn signals and this would be a good way to clean up the front end as well.

I've seen the MT-03 before but thought it was scrapped. I actually like the overall look and wouldn't mind adding one to the stable. If the light bars made more of a V shape (came togther at the bottom) it could signify the V in VMax. :biglaugh:

I think I saw the Aprilia RSV4 priced at $36k on a site somewhere. Not sure if it was quoted in USD but if so it's cheaper than I was expecting.

If it were me I would take a serious look at the new '09 GSXR1000's that are due out in March I believe. It would have an aftermarket exhaust installed along with some dyno tuning to compensate for the new pipes soon after she was broken in though (imo the oem cans are just plain ugly). I...
