Is anyone suceeded using a DRL-300 rev limiter? A friend of mine is trying to set it and no way to make it works. He use the one coil option (because of uneven fire of Vmax motor). With a sigle coil signal, he has to set 4 sparks for 2 rotations to get the correct results : 6000 preset and...

8500 euro redline is a ******* YAM fake, you can run it at 9500 which is the real one! With EURO power limitations (ignition, vboost, exhaust) this is useless to go over 8500, but no more risky than with US ones, internal parts are the same ones. ;)

Yes I tried the US setting 37.5 pilots and 90 air jet Mysteriously, there is no way to make it works smoothy. Idle is fine but all very light throttle cruises are crapy erratic. Came back to EU settings and works fine.. :ummm:

Correct but with the Vmax carbs, needles are involved even at full throttle! WOT, high RPM AFR is not the same with 150 main jets and S7 or stock needles. With the big tip stock needle, you need a bigger main jet to achieve the same AFR.

You need air restrictors too with pods. No vacuum lines on top of the air box, they are breather lines coming from fuel bowls. You have to install a catch can on the rear lower hose and recycling tubes towards the pods... It will be easier to re install a stock airbox ;)

When my Vboost was always opened (with S7) i always made the sync with Cabtune. Longer to do than with closed butterflies but it works too...

Don't run it at idle on sidestand too long..

Don't know exactly why, no vboost here, so mixture is richer => timing advance could be reduced, i don't see the Engineers logic, but they cant be wrong and EU vmax have a very good grunt at part throttle... This not a copy, this is a mix between EU and US curves ;)

From what i ear... It very similar to mine. On mine the ticking sound come from timing chain, worn tensionners pads and/or chains or faulty tensionner. Easy to check, remove valve covers and check chain tension... Easier to fix than wrist pin.

Your AF is very rich under 6K. When Vboost is closed mixture is richer, but this is very rich, even with the stock combo!!
