Stuck Mixture Screw ... but not like you're thinking

Nice to hear you got the mess cleaned up ! That's always a relief. I suggested the reverse helix easy out and I agree 100 % with "rare success". A really stubborn thread needs a really good bite which can cause expansion in a thin wall situation and then it just feeds on itself. Those easy...

    Vmax values

Is fair when both parties are satisifed with their transaction ? In 2018 I snagged a perfect 06 Gen 1 tradein with 3500 miles off a showroom floor. Due to its age, the dealer installed new tires and a new battery and I paid their asking price of $ 3500. It must of been fair because that's what...

Stuck Mixture Screw ... but not like you're thinking

Maybe WD 40 or any liquid from the bowl side would pressurize it better. The "feeds" are so tiny and leakage around the threads might allow air to bleed off too fast to build pressure on the screw. Any liquid might build more pressure.

Stuck Mixture Screw ... but not like you're thinking

This is a last resort approach I would use: The reverse helix easy out kits that screw into a drilled hole. Bottom it out and drill in 1/8 " or so, tap gently / install the extractor and screw it out. Before that I would try compressed air as you are, while turning the screw. Could you smear...

    Vrod

The Destroyers are kind of fast, but off road only, so not really in the Vmax class. I expect there would be plenty of off road only Vmaxes that could destroy the destroyer, lol.

    Vrod

I have the SE CVO, a Gen 1 and Gen 2, and they're all fun. The SE CVO is fun to look at and rides nice. Fast ? Relative to other HD's I suppose but that's all. The Gen 1 could lose 1 cyl and probably beat it, the Gen 2 could lose 1/2 the motor and then maybe one could call it a race, LOL.

If your name is Matt Hines, you can tell us how fast your Harley is, otherwise the word fast should not normally be used in the same sentence as Harley.

10 new Gen 2 1700 Crate motors with ECU

No shoehorning needed. Find a salvage bike of your preference and bolt the wheels, bars and seat onto this motor. Struff a 3 gallon tank in there somehow and you have a VMAX. That's what Yamaha did, very elegantly, twice !

10 new Gen 2 1700 Crate motors with ECU

No shoe horning needed ! Buy a salvage bike of your preference and bolt the wheels, bars and a seat onto your engine and you have a Vmax. Find a place to put 3 gallons of gas and you're done. That's what Yamaha did.

10 new Gen 2 1700 Crate motors with ECU

I'll take an engine and an ECU if the price is right.

    Vmax range solved

By the time you refill with this setup, you could find a gas station, pee (or more) in a nice bathroom, and buy a snack.

    Exhaust system question

Not much going on between the ears so they need something to keep the brain awake.

    Exhaust system question

I have a Mark's on 1 of my Maxes (99) and I agree it has a very mellow not too loud bad ass sound.

    Exhaust system question

There's a long continuum between being hated for anything and "unhateable", but loud exhaust certainly moves one closer to the "hated" side. Hopefully the poster is already more on the "unhateable" side but only he/she knows where he sits right now, LOL.

Cycle Trader - Smelled A Rat

If marketplace is farcebook, I doubt they would like a manly truck, especially a diesel. Try something like a Tesla or a bicycle, maybe an e-bike.

Cycle Trader - Smelled A Rat

I've seen many of them on Cycle Trader, buyer beware. Divorced, widows, and service members. First clue is a beautiful, rarely seen bike. 2nd clue is the price. Report to CT.

    NFL Lounge

I thought this site was for Vmax owners, their bikes, and issues related to them, not the NFL, BLM and their rioting and BS. Post that crap somewhere else.
