    rejetting for a new elevation

Back in Indiana I thought i had the mains just about right. I made the mistake of trusting a dealership to jet the bike originally, and the idiots screwed it up badly. They put something like a 165 main jet in it or something crazy. I knocked it back down to the stock 152.5 and noticed a bit of...

    Coincidence or Correlation???

Whenever you have a few free hours, let me know. I can come up there and help you get it all figured out. Each jet should have the size inscribed on it. :thumbs up:

    rejetting for a new elevation

I moved from Northwest Indiana to Chandler, AZ a few weeks ago and am finally getting around to rejetting the bike for the elevation here...although technically back in Indiana it was never jetted correctly anyhow. So....here's the setup: Kerker 4-1 with 2.5" Comp baffle Morley's Muscle Kit...

    Coincidence or Correlation???

That sounds like a jetting issue. What size main jets are you using?

    Adjusting new throttle cables

I replaced my old worn upper throttle cables with some braided ones I got from Sean. I have a question about it though, and I'm not sure of the answer. There are 2 cables. One of them has a giant long nut that you can use to adjust the slack. I've got mine almost all of the way out and there is...

Help. Blowing fuses after indicator swap

KJ, your front rotor eerily resembles a Galfer wave rotor....don't they make those for both front AND rear?

    Coincidence or Correlation???

I'm going to agree with others, try the shotgun. I've never done it myself, thankfully never needed to, but I'm sure that it'll clear your carbs up. Sounds like they're gummed up. If you want, I can come up and have a look at it sometime.

Anyone in the Phoenix area with a bike lift?

I had little mechanical experience as well. Thanks to the guys on this forum and their tips/directions/help I was able to remove the engine completely from my bike, split the cases, replace the trans, and put it all back together. After doing that, I feel comfortable saying that I can do...

Anyone in the Phoenix area with a bike lift?

Yeah that sounds like it would work. Sadly, until we buy a house, I won't have any of the proper tools or equipment. Once I get my garage, I'll buy a lift and all sorts of other goodies :eusa_dance: We'll definitely have to ride sometime though. Karen and I don't know ANYONE out here in AZ.

Anyone in the Phoenix area with a bike lift?

Thanks for the offer bro, I appreciate it. I'm gonna head up to Peoria though and the guy up there that posted on here is gonna lend me a hand. We'll definitely have to meet up for a ride sometime though. For sure. My email is [email protected]. Feel free to ever hit me up if you wanna ride, or...

Anyone in the Phoenix area with a bike lift?

That is information that I did not know. Thanks. Although it kinda puzzles me...the other bikes I've had that were equipped with disc brakes didn't have loctite on the rotor bolts. What's the reasoning behind it on these bikes? What the heck are "the 14 boards?" Oh...

Anyone in the Phoenix area with a bike lift?

I'm going to try to sidestand methond first. I've got a guy that said he'll help. Plus I won't even really need to set the bike down...just pop the wheel off, change the rotor quickly, and put the wheel back on. Easy as pie.

Anyone in the Phoenix area with a bike lift?

There are tons of people on this forum that are around the area, but not hardly anyone that's an ACTIVE member that posts. I got a Galfer wave rotor and Galfer pads from Sean. I'll keep my fingers crossed that it doesn't squeal!

Anyone in the Phoenix area with a bike lift?

I will have to try that. Just gotta find someone to help me hold the damn thing up so I can get the wheel off.

Anyone in the Phoenix area with a bike lift?

I also forgot to mention that the bike is lowered. I've got Progressive 11.5's (I think, not positive) on there. I know that the sidestand will be able to handle the entire weight of the bike, but do you think I would be able to tilt it up high enough to get the wheel out considering the lowered...

Anyone in the Phoenix area with a bike lift?

I have to change the rear rotor on my bike and now that I live in an apartment, I have no garage and no bike lift or jack to be able to get the bike up in the air. Is there anyone around me that might be able to help? Anyone???
