The OEM Allen's look nice but they round so easy. And difficult to get any bite with a ViceGrip. N.East salty roads gets every fastener frozen. Used to ride 10-11 months a year.

I'll take a pic. I haven't had to take the rotors off. It has been other bolts all over the bike as I've been doing different service.

I've been replacing the Allen's with std SS Hex bolts. The Stainless of the OEM bolts is so soft that a corroded bolt will round easily. So frustrating. A 15 min job turns into 3 hrs to get a single bolt out

What weight on the GEN2 final drive. I think it was 75/90?

I haven't been following the entire thread but.. I am 99% sure the ABS is fused. Did you check the fuse?

That actually makes a lot of sense to about forcing the ABS to activate. I've got a problem with the rear brake on my CBX. The slave cylinder is not retracting. I'm sure it is corrosion from non use. Next VMAX ride I'm locking up the rear. Thanks for the tip.

So Fluid going into the ABS unit but nothing coming out? Front brakes ok??

Can you bleed the slave cylinder? That would indicate you have some flow. I don't remember if there is a bleeder on the MC.

I know this isn't the thread, but is there any updates on how Tim is doing?

Thanks for all the pics Jim. I'll look at the pics on my big computer today and dust off the bags. If I recall I got a "Universal" mounting kit too. There wasn't much to it other then a nice bent tube that locked onto the cases. I'll try to keep this moving this time..

Hey Jim I have a set of Shad bags here that I never got around to designing a GEN2 mounting. Can you give me some pics & input what you did to mount the bags. Would you do some things different? This has been such an issue for everyone that I'd like to make a "Kit" available for everyone on...

I use a 3/8 drive 1" extension + a universal with a sparkplug socket. I've found is a good combination and no stress on the plugs going in or out.

The problem is not so much the battery, but rather the 49 cent starter button that Yamaha put on these bikes.. Some corrosion and you're done..
