I have parts that were pced & have chips in them. My wheels I had painted & they look like the day they were painted no chips,scratches. You wont get a nicer shine than paint!!!!Pc just don't have the same shine.
It cant be that tight in there. Take a small pointed chisel or pointed punch & tap it the way you would unbolt it. It should come right out may be a pita w/ not much room but it will come out .
It's most likely wires and or cracks in the coils. I had same issue I replaced wires & the problems solved but some have had the same issues w/ cracks in the coils. Next year I am going cops
No way would I silicone it in there . That's just hack sorry I will make a new bracket or something . This is temporary anyway as I have the fiberglass tail piece going on this winter that eliminates the rear fender all together .
