Any suggestion on what I should check first with the ignition Mark. I removed all 4 spark plugs, 1 was black running way too rich, 1 was border line rich, and 2 were fine, not sure if that was caused by the boost kicking in at idle?? boots are fine Mark I just replaced those less than 6...

Mark the vboost motor does cycle open and close. Ron

well I disconneted the Sasy, and just ran it stock, same problem as soon as it starts to warm up the idle drops up and down and stalls out. I disconnected the boost sensor and the and the vboost controller same problem, obviously its not the vboost. any ideas Ron

Re: Common oil questions about the VMax Mark you are correct,my calymer manual states the same, at idle 950-1050 you should see 3 - 3.3 PSI approx, thats what I see, mind you it almost looks like there is no pressure on my dial, but as soon as I touch the throttle it goes up Ron :cheers:

Just wondering if I'm reading my meter correctly? Connected it to the fan at the junction on the left side of the bike, I get resistance when the meter is set to Ohms, when I connect it ti the 2 posts on the thermoswitch I get resistance(reading), when I connect it to the housing that clips to...

Thanks Mike, now it seems that I have a short somewhere between the thermo switch and the fan. fuse keeps blowing, Its going to rain all weekend looks like I know what I will be doing. Ron

Guess I should give an update after all the help I got. Replaced the old damaged segment with the new and improved version, Dbl "D" Mod while I was in there. Had one hick-up, rectified that after I put the parts back in correct order. The clutch works perfect, lots of grab, took some getting use...

Mark I just connected aa 12v battery to the fan terminals and the fan does work. If the Thermoswitch is malfunctioning would that cause the fuse to blow. I suspect if the fuse is blowing the thermoswitch is functioning, openning to send a current to the fuse?? Ron

Mark i took a look there are no bare or frayed wires exposed that would short against the cover. I ran them they are all taped up, the ones that are exposed are not frayed or showing any bare wires
