    2010 VMax - Official

Also, no self cancelling turn signals, still a tiny fuel tank for the engine size/fuel consumption, and no six speed tranny. Yomama should change the name to Hardley Yamaha!

    Rev Limiter

Dyna DRL-300 is supposed to work, but I couldn't get it to work on my bike. Went with the 3000 and it does work. Dyna says same electronics, but I could never get the 300 to do anything but take up space.

3rd annual puzzle run & biker blessing, new jersey

My Chapter of the CMA is holding it's 3rd Annual Puzzle Run and Biker Blessing on APRIL 18, 2009. For the last 2 years, lunch consisted of grilled STEAKS. I'm not promising STEAKS again this year, but chances are that's what will be served. Prizes are given away too. Come on by, come in early...

Vmax Vs zx14 drag race offer...

It shouldn't since the clock starts counting as soon as he trips the light regardless of the red light. Mike Costa VMOA #3531

    Furbur's accident in Daytona

Just got off the phone with John. He's in good spirits considering. Hospital won't relaease him until swelling goes down and danger of infection is over. Guy that cut him off was a real idiot. Anybody still down there for Bike Week, take him a good steak to eat. Mike Costa VMOA #3531

Setting dry float levels on the bench

Excellent! Doesn't reallly matter how it's done as long as the reference points are consistent. I believe the factory uses the casting mark on the jet block/float relationship since it's the quickest way to do it. Can you picture some Jap worker adjusting floats with a caliper after a sushi/sake...

Complete carb rebuild guide for noob?

You say you never rebuilt a "motorcycle" carburetor. As a mechanic, what makes you think that's it's any different than a carburetor on a car? Just wondering.....

    Good deal or not??

AS a point of reference, I picked up my stock (except for mirrors and turn signals) '99 Vmax with 1377 miles on the clock, looked showroom new, back in March of '04 for $6500. Owner was asking $7500.

    What a bunch of idiots!!!

He was wrong about the Stage 2, but correct about the Stage 7. Dyna recommends for drag racing only.

    Torque Wrenches

Unfortunately, you are going to need three from 1/4" drive to 1/2" drive to cover all the fasteners on the bike, along with adapters to change to different size sockets. Since I don't use mine in a professional, daily use environment, I bought mine from Harbor Freight. I checked the 1/2" one...
