    This winter i am planning on pulling the bike apart down to the frame and painting the engine black and powder coating the frame a nice candy red, next winter i plan on sending the motor to Sean and letting him have some fun with it, i am thinking a 1300 build but i will see what funds permit...

    I have been looking at the parts blow up and i cant seem to see where the thermostat is, anybody have a part number or can point out where it is, i talked to the dealer and they couldn't see it either and tried telling me there isn't one.

    Looks like i am going to have to do this to my 85, and i just got the carbs all put back on the bike and running good, oh well at least it will be done and shouldn't have to do it again, i might actually use your idea of painting it (or even powder coating it) red!

    just figured i would also explain this a little more, the flasher likes to see low resistance which is set up for the resistance of the oem bulbs, when after market bulbs are put on then that increases the resistance (Especially if LEDs are installed) the only way to fix this is with a flash...
